Headquartered in Kirkland, WA, EZdigs was founded in April of 2006. Mike Satterlee, the company's president, and broker, founded the company after working in several different sides of the industry, including production homebuilding, development, finance, property management and real estate. While working for the big builders, Mr. Satterlee recognized a shift in home buyer behavior and thus the need for a new business model. "It became apparent to me that agents were no longer central to the real estate transaction. Consumers already had all the information. They just needed the agents to market their homes or write up the offer and guide them through closing." EZdigs' business model leverages the internet while tapping into current consumer behavior to provide the services that consumers want and need at a fraction of the cost.
